ABSN Clinical Placements
Supervised clinical placements are the core of your accelerated nursing education, introducing you to different patient populations in different practice settings. These active learning environments are where you and a small group of classmates perform tasks a nurse would typically do in a given situation.
Our diverse clinical placements allow you to gain real-world experience in a variety of health care sectors, such as adult care, mental health, family care and public health. Clinicals also serve to develop your confidence in terms of applying your skills and working with others in interdisciplinary patient care situations.

Clinical Advice
It’s important to have the right mindset before you go into clinicals. You can’t go in as a student; you have to go in as a nurse. While there’s never a promise of employment, you should go into every health care facility with your best foot forward. As a student at Grand Canyon University, you’ll be able to network with some of the best health care providers in Arizona, Nevada and Utah—individuals who can serve as a professional reference or future employer.
