Welcome to the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at Grand Canyon University, an institution dedicated to helping students change their lives for the better through education.
For more than 35 years, our mission has been to graduate nursing professionals who promote health, wellness, safety and quality care for individuals and populations. And we’re good at what we do.
Our nursing school is widely known throughout Arizona and offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Not to mention, our 16-month* ABSN program gets job-ready nurses into the workforce sooner, which helps further offset the state’s nursing shortage.
I do want to emphasize that our ABSN program is not a shortcut to the profession. We designed the program for individuals who have a non-nursing college education. Such individuals who meet the eligibility requirements are able to accelerate their path to a rewarding nursing career.
Like all of our nursing programs, our accredited ABSN program features an academically rigorous curriculum framed within the context of our Christian mission. Students learn from faculty who have the expertise, experience and commitment to help them succeed in the program and the profession.
In the end, our interdisciplinary approach to education develops competent, compassionate nurse leaders who live with purpose and serve with integrity. Health care employers also appreciate the accountability and professionalism our nursing graduates bring to their organizations.
Thank you for considering our 16-month* ABSN program for your nursing education. There’s never been a better time to begin a nursing career. We look forward to helping you accelerate into the profession so that you can find your purpose and pave the way for a stronger nursing workforce.
